Working on behalf of Africana.com and the Cleveland Foundation, Koret Communications created a web site celebrating some of the world's finest writers on the subject of race, discrimination, and tolerance, "recognizing excellence in the literature of diversity." This year's winners include Edward Said, Chang-rae Lee, and Ernest J. Gaines. A second edition of the site, featuring a Flash introduction and an interactive timeline, is scheduled for launch in September, 2000.
